  • Pets must attend a Meet and Greet session prior to appointments being approved. The owners and their employees reserve the right to deny appointments based on an animal's temperament and behavior.

  • Pets must arrive on leash or similarly secured from escape.  We are near a very busy road and want to prevent accidents from happening.

  • Dogs must have the following vaccinations prior to boarding/day care:

         Rabies-required every 1, 2, or 3 years, depending on your vet’s protocol

  • We recommend your pet be on heartworm, as well as, flea and tick preventative.  Treated flea baths will be given, at the pet owner’s expense, if evidence of fleas are present.

  • Dogs 9 months or older must be spayed or neutered.

  • It is recommended that your pet wear a collar with identification tags.

  • We require a 50% deposit for the following holidays, New Year's week, Memorial Day week, Spring Break, 4th of July week, Thanksgiving week, and Christmas week. The deposit is fully refundable up to five days prior to the first day of the scheduled boarding stay. Cancellations made less than five days prior to the first day of the boarding stay are non-refundable, but we will apply a credit toward future boarding reservations to your account.

  • If your pet needs medical care, we will consult you first. Then, we will contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinarian, at the pet owner’s expense.

  • We will administer medication to your pet as directed.  Additional fees may apply.

  • We will do all in our power to ensure that your pet’s stay is safe and sound.  We ask that you inform us of your personality issues we should be made aware of in advance of booking a reservation. If your dog cannot safely interact with other dogs, they will require individual playtime at the owner's expense.

  • By choosing to allow your dog to participate in group playtime, you must understand we will supervise play groups of similar personality and temperament.  You will also recognize that incidents can happen and agree that we act promptly to treat any known wounds through a veterinarian’s services at the pet owner’s expense.

  • If a pet destroys or damages kennel property of $50 or greater, the pet owner will be financially responsible for the price of replacing the item or for the price of repair of the item.

  • There will be occasional times during boarding when your pet is secured but unattended.  From time to time, employees of Blue Barn Pet Resort are away for a short time.  We do not have a sprinkler system in the building.  We have multiple fire extinguishers in the building.  Every effort will be made to keep your pet safe and out of harm's way.
